Before School Band Registration
Before-School Band will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am-9am at Ella Baker- starting Sep 23rd

-Students choose from the following instruments: flute, clarinet, trumpet, alto saxophone, trombone.

First day for first grade through 5th grade. Half-day elementary conferences.
Fall After-school Enrichment Registration
Registration OPENS Thur Aug 28th at 7pm. Registration DEADLINE September 12th
Fall classes offered are basketball, art, theatre, chess, persuasive communications, coding, animation, and robotics. Classes run Sep 2nd- Nov 21st. For class descriptions, more details, and to register visit: EllaBakerPTSA.org/enrichment

Community End of Year Celebration
🎉 End-of-Year Celebration: Coming Up! 🎉
Mark your calendars—our End-of-Year Celebration is happening on Thursday, June 5th from 5:30–8:30 PM! Join us for an evening of family fun to celebrate an amazing school year.
🎯 Inflatables: 2-lane obstacle course and 2-lane giant slide!
🎯 Professional Face Painting
🎯 Motley Zoo (cuddle with adorable rescue animals! 5$ suggested donation to support Motley Zoo)

There is no cost for admission to the event. However wrist bands will be required to access the inflatables and for popcorn and cotton candy (each wristband is good for one popcorn and one cotton candy).

🎉 We’re collecting mini toys, party favors, fidget toys, and fast food prizes for our End-of-Year Carnival Celebration!
If you’ve got extras at home, we’d love to reuse them as prizes for our school carnival games.
📸 We'd also love any fun photo props we could use for the photo booth—think silly glasses, hats, boas, or signs.
🎁 Please drop all donations in the collection box in the front office. Thank you for helping us make this event extra fun for our students!

Community STEAM Night
🔬✨ Ella Baker STEAM Fair – Registration Opens March 17th! ✨🔬
Calling all young STEAM enthusiasts! 🧪🔍 The Ella Baker STEAM Fair is coming soon, and we can’t wait to see our students' creativity and curiosity in action. Whether it’s a chemistry experiment, an engineering marvel, a biology breakthrough, or an alternative project that focuses on one of the other STEAM areas (technology, engineering, art or math), all students are welcome to participate!
📅 Event Date: April 24th
📍 Location: Ella Baker Elementary
📝 Registration Opens: March 17th
Students can work individually or in groups—no prior experience needed! This is a great opportunity to explore STEAM, showcase discoveries, and have fun. Entries will not be judged by PTSA. If your student is interested in participating, check out the instructions and this helpful How to Guide!

Author Visit
Author, Lily LaMotte, is Coming to Ella Baker!
Ella Baker welcomes Author, Lily LaMotte, on Friday, April 4th. PTSA is excited to sponsor this event.
Lily LaMotte is a debut author of the funny and heart-warming graphic novel, Measuring Up, which explores family love, self-identity, embracing diversity and more. Her other books include Unhappy Camper, and a picture book, Chloe’s Lunar New Year.
Our school is partnering with Brick & Mortar Books for families to order their own signed copies of these books. Order deadline has been extended to Thursday, March 27th.
