8am-9am at Ella Baker STARTING SEPTEMBER 28TH 

Wednesdays & Fridays: 1st yr students, Mondays & Fridays: 2nd yr students 

For 4th and 5th grade students: both new and experienced students 

Registration open: Thur Aug 27th-Wed Sep 16th 

Concert Dates: Wed Jan 27th at 7pm & Wed Jun 9th at 7pm at Ella Baker- combined with Orchestra 

Students choose from the following instruments:  

  • Flute 

  • Clarinet 

  • Trumpet  

  • Alto saxophone 

  • Trombone 

Students provide: 

  • instrument (RENT) 

Need-based Scholarships (including instrument rental) are available by contacting the school counselor Melissa Foss: mfoss@lwsd.org

Choir

  • Before school choir is a school run program (not a PTSA program). For details, please contact the music teacher Amanda Sarles: asarles@lwsd.org 

Policy and FAQs 

  • Each enrichment class requires volunteer chaperones to attend EACH class. A 50% discount on the class price is offered to the volunteer chaperone's child. If you are interested in committing to be the volunteer chaperone, please email music@ellabakerptsa.org BEFORE you register your child for a class. See the Volunteer Chaperone Agreement for responsibilities. If a volunteer chaperone is not found for a class, that class will be cancelled.

  • To be inclusive of all students in our learning community, scholarships based on financial need are available. If you need a scholarship, please email the school councilor Melissa Foss at mfoss@lwsd.org. Financial need scholarship students will be given priority registration by reserving 10% of class enrollment. If these spots are not claimed, they will be released to the waiting list. 

  • Refunds will ONLY be issued until registration closes. Withdrawing from the class after the first class will result in NO refund. To request a refund & withdraw from class email music@ellabakerptsa.org 

  • Late registration, shortly after registration closes, MIGHT be permitted- at the discretion of the PTSA- with a 25$ late fee.

  • After-School Enrichment Policy
