Get Ready for the 2026 Reflections Art Competition!  

Do you love to draw, write, take pictures, dance, make music, or create? Then it’s time to let your imagination shine! 

The 2026 PTSA Reflections Art Competition is coming up, and we want to see what inspires the amazing artists and creators of Ella Baker! 

Last year, Ella Baker students participated in the Reflections competition and shared their creativity through a variety of art forms. We can’t wait to see what you come up with this year! 

Explore the Theme  

Culture can be so many things—a family tradition, a favorite celebration, a special food, music, language, a place you love, a family story, or something that makes you feel connected to who you are. 

Think it. Create it. Share it! 

A student may submit an entry in any of six categories. (Click the linked categories below to see the entry guidelines.) 

• Literature :  Works of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, prose, drama, short stories and lyrics. 

• Music Composition : Original musical composition, with or without words. 

• Photography : Color or black and white, included techniques: photogram, negative sandwich, and multiple exposure. 

• Visual Arts : Drawing, painting in tempera, oil, acrylic, watercolor & computer generated art, two-dimensional collage & mixed media, printmaking. LWPTSA council is not accepting 3D art. *Please no stretched canvas more that ¾ in. and please no framed art.* 

• Film/Video : Original works, with or without sound, of animation, narrative, documentary, experimental or music video/film. 

• Choreography/Dance : Originally choreographed dance composition.

• What traditions do I love? 

• What stories have been passed down to me? 

• What music, food, places, celebrations, or languages are part of my world? 

 Then turn your ideas into art, words, music, movement, photographs, or film!
